Christian Church logo design

FirstChristianChurch logo design

Challenge:
Fort Worth First Christian Church is in the process of making some changes to their website and evangelism tools. Over the years they have had logos/icons used for different events, but never really had a consistent logo that was used to brand FCC. This is something that needs to be very tastefully done to help the church, but not loose the message of who they are and what they are trying to do. This is also something that was important to bridge the gap between “old” and “new” due to the age of this church.

Solution:
The Disciples of Christ chalice was added (and not created by Brandwise) to the newly designed logotype. We tried to use a font that was traditional so we went with a serif font, but added some more modern items to bring things current. The goal with any logo we do, is to really try to make sure the type of the logo is unique and customized. Since FCC is the one of the oldest churches running in Fort Worth and really the “first” church in FW (obviously where the name came from), we wanted to represent this by adding the #1 in place of the “i”. This helps reinforce the name. Then we also added the ligature of the “r” and the “s” to again make things unique and very focused on clean typography.
