Are you already in Christmas Mode? Are sales over?

It is funny how easy it is to slide in to Christmas Mode. You know when we start planning events with family and friends. It is especially bad for me because I have a close friend, my own, my father’s, my mother-in-law’s and my nephew’s birthday all within a 3 week period over the Christmas season. So I can relate with loosing your mind and wanting to be festive with friends and family.

It is important though that we do not let all these things interfere with business. We have 3 weeks left of this year, and how are you going to make the most of them? Are you going to step it up and close the year strong or are you going to kick back and dawn the Santa suit?

CEOs and commission sales people are probably the most serious at this time. We still need to make ends meet and be able to fund the 2012 growth goals that we are planning. If you too are looking for ways to motivate yourself or your team, you might want to check out the webinar we have on Thursday the 15th.

  1. Hey Dale.

Things aren’t slowing down for HubSpot. We do put a lot of emphasis on going into the month with a strong funnel and keeping prospecting activity high during the beginning of the month.

I also think it’s important to take time off and spend with family. I am certainly guilty of sacrificing family time for hitting work goals. I regret that and try not to repeat it.

  3. Thanks for your thoughts Pete. I agree family is important. I split my holiday time between Houston and PA so it is crazy but wonderful spending the time with family. I do however plan on being highly aggressive up until the point we get on the road/plane.

Well, I wish you and yours a happy holiday season. I also wish Hubspot the best close to 2011. I know we will be closing strong and I hope we can help others not over look family time, but certainly maximize business time!
