Tonight I was watching The Voice. As some of you will know, I am a huge music buff although this isn't my typical music selection. It is interesting to see how musicians are chosen and how some musicians learn to step it up and go into a competition against different type of artists. Similar to the hip-hop mc going up against the country duo singing I Can't Get No Satisfaction. This was good and unique and the hip-hop artist pulled it off!
Branding Tips to Increase Sales
You know I see and hear this all the time. People hear this buzz about twitter and decide… I should check out this social media tool. So they sign up build a profile and put out there first tweet usually saying something like "This is my first tweet, I do not know what I'm doing." This is fine and a good place to start, but I thought I would share a few tips to help the new tweople understand twitter better. I am going to share a few basics.
I have been trying to add some basic posts recently to educate people on what all these inbound marketing tools are and why they are important so here is another one on Twitter. When it comes to businesses why would I want to use Twitter? This is the main question I get.
Brandwise has recently had our twitter account hacked, so I thought I would write this article to help others. Basically someone collected our username and password and now changed the password to keep us from logging in and using our twitter account. I have not noticed any spammy or other type postings as of yet, but not having access to our account is a big pain.
In order for branding to be effective you must, must must be consistent across all mediums. This includes Twitter. Think about it, your clients, prospects are accustomed to seeing your marketing materials and web site branded a certain way including color usage, fonts, logo etc. If they show up on your twitter page an it has the standard twitter template designs you are looking just like everyone else on twitter, some several million people I would guess.
