That's right September 30th is the last day to enter your company in the 2012 Bad Logo Rebranding Contest. So if you or someone you know has a company with a bad or mediocre logo then you gotta share this offer with them. Brandwise is trying to rid the world of bad logos one logo at a time.
Tomorrow begins the 2011 Inbound Marketing Summit.
I am looking forward to hearing Youngme Moon's, of Harvard Business School, discussion on Escaping The Competitive Marketing Herd.
That's right branded domain names! Now your probably wondering what does this mean… "branded domain names?" or isn't our current domain name a "branded domain name?". For some I would say yes and for others I'd say no. If you got to the name game late or bought your domain name unstrategically, your brand name may not be in your domain name. Obviously if you are reading this article on our site, you probably know the getBrandwise.com domain. On one hand this is a branded .com domain name, but not nearly as branded as the new branded domain names that were announced on Monday of this week.
On this day in 1999 I started my business. This has been a long crazy journey. I have made a ton of mistakes and learned business by getting my MBA through the school of hard knocks. That being said here I sit on the day I started my company 12 years ago and I look back. Those last 12 years were defining years and I learned all I could every second of the day. Now looking forward I am excited at where I am right now and what the future holds.
Here is another great infographic I ran across this morning (on Mashable) and I thought you might like to review it. So often we hear B2B companies fearful of social media, but as it turns out more B2B companies are using social media than B2C companies. It seems however B2B are less active or at least not using these tools on a daily basis as some of the B2C companies. The more you use it and the more you engage your audience, the better off you will be, no matter B2B or B2C. Check out these stats and start getting active on the social media sites!
If you are new to QR Codes, now is the time to start learning about them. They will be a big part of your life in the future if you are a marketing company, marketing person or retailer. If you have a smart phone, but have never heard of or tried a QR Code, give this one a try. Just download this app: Neo Reader iphone app and then scan (take a picture of) the above bar code and see what happens.
You might be surprised but you will certainly understand why Brandwise "Like's" QR Codes.
QR Codes are going to be a tool to help make it easier to communicate and make offers to customers or prospects. Think about this in the future -- you may go to a store, pick up a product, scan the QR Code and then get an offer or discount for becoming a Facebook fan, Twitter follower or signing up for the company's newsletter.
All we can say is… all this new technology is pretty amazing and makes it so much easier to connect and engage with your customers or prospects. Marketing is changing and it is good for both the buyer and the seller. Who knows where things will be in just 1-2 years. Things are changing so quickly these days. It sure is a fun ride.
Gap has recently changed their logo and before we get into our thoughts, we would like to hear what your thoughts are. Do you like the new logo or the old logo better and please tell us why.
