Branding Tips to Increase Sales
This is a YouTube post of some funny and interesting signs. I thought my visitors might like to see some of this stuff. I found this video on Tess Wittler's writing blog.
After talking to all kinds of businesses through networking, cold calls and everyday interaction I have realized not everyone knows or understands what a brand management firm does. Being that we are based in Fort Worth, known as "Cow Town" to some, we are often confused as a company that makes cattle brands for ranchers. Although this is a little frustrating due to our east-coast advertising/design background we can understand part of the confusion.
An interesting thing happened to me this Sunday. My wife and I were visiting family in Houston and we decided to join them for church. They are members of Kingwood Christian Church. This is a great church and they always put on excellent activities, events, and sermons. They are usually a little more hip or contemporary than the churches I have attended over the years, but I usually like the direction they take their worship. The interesting thing this Sunday was the sermon was called "There's an App for That".
For those of you not used to marketing lingo we are going to clarify things for you. Direct mail is advertising including- postcards, catalogs, CD's, letters, & 3 dimensional items sent through the mail. ROI stands for Return On Investment. Basically because you can measure the results of mailings due to the responses they get from each mailing marketers, CFO's, CEO's and business owners like to know how well their marketing is doing.
When it comes to direct mail, a lot of people think of postcards as the quick down-and-dirty starting point. Using postcards can be a great way to build brand awareness and start to generate leads. However, this can not be looked at lightly and just slap a photo, quick copy and then stamped and mailed off. In order to see success you really need to put the time in and develop a strategy behind your campaign.
