Brandwise has broken the 1,000,000 mark in traffic rank.

Over the last year we have been working hard on turning our website into a marketing powerhouse and lead generation tool. We has certainly made big strides over the last year.
Today I noticed that our website traffic rank has broken the 1,000,000 mark!
So what does this mean? Well it means that we are getting closer to that "Less than 100,000" mark that we are shooting for.
For those of you not familiar with this type of stats, here is what Alexa.com says about traffic rank:

A measure of a website's popularity.
The rank is calculated using a combination of average daily visitors and pageviews over the past 3 months. The site with the highest combination of visitors and pageviews is ranked #1.
So you can see this is kind of a popularity contest. But the more traffic you have to your site the more sales leads you are generating. The more traffic you get the higher you rank in search engines which means in turn the more traffic you will get.
In order to track your results on Alexa, you must be under 100,000. So this is our next goal to shoot for. This will take sometime, but we are hoping that we hit the >100,000 mark in the next year.
Here is an example of a comparison of BarnseAndNoble.com against Brandwise. As you can see we do not chart at this point, but we will keep you posted as things progress.
If you are unfamiliar with Alexa.com site, then you should go and check it out. Type in your web address and see where your site stands. Then go back and check it quarterly or as frequently as your site changes. This will help you keep your fingers on the pulse of your site.
